Lenggong, Perak, 28 September 2025 – The Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully organized the PSAS Team Enhancement Program 2025: Towards a World-Class Academic Library with the theme “Team Synergy, Driving Transformation” from 26 to 28 September 2025 at PUSKEP, Lenggong, Perak.

The three-day, two-night program brought together 72 PSAS staff members from various departments and positions. This initiative was part of the library’s ongoing efforts to strengthen teamwork, enhance leadership capabilities, and foster a spirit of collaboration among its staff.

The opening ceremony was officiated by the Chief Librarian, Mr. Mahbob Yusof, who emphasized the importance of building teamwork, effective communication, and professionalism within the library community. He also highlighted that PSAS’s aspiration to become excellence as a world-class academic library depends on the unity and commitment of staff at all levels.

Throughout the program, participants engaged in a variety of physical and interactive activities such as water confidence, kayaking, abseiling, wall climbing, obstacle courses, paintball, and group dynamic training (LDK). These activities not only tested participants’ physical and mental endurance but also strengthened their communication, trust, and collective decision-making skills.

In addition to the physical challenges, spiritual activities such as congregational prayers and motivational talks were also conducted to instill moral values, foster unity, and encourage personal growth among participants.

During the closing ceremony, the Chief Librarian expressed his appreciation to the organizing committee for their excellent planning and execution, and congratulated all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the program. He noted that such activities not only enhance work productivity but also cultivate a positive, competitive, and resilient organizational culture.

The event concluded with the presentation of gifts and tokens of appreciation to participants in recognition of their active involvement throughout the program.

Overall, the PSAS Team Enhancement Program 2025 successfully achieved its objectives. The program not only strengthened camaraderie and team spirit among PSAS staff but also served as a catalyst for developing a resilient, positive-minded, and committed workforce dedicated to advancing the Sultan Abdul Samad Library towards becoming a world-class academic library.
