SERDANG, 5 May – The Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) hosted Kolej Vokasional (Pertanian) Teluk Intan, for a benchmarking visit to share best practices in library management and support Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and Code of Practice for TVET Programme Accreditation (COPTPA) requirements.

The college focused the visit on its ongoing MQA accreditation exercise, and discussed good practices and practical improvements in library management.

During the session, PSAS described how it manages the library to support MQA requirements, especially in collection management, documentation practices, and access to learning resources.

The delegation toured the library facilities, examining its conducive learning spaces that support user needs.

Ms Munira Nabilah, Acting Head of Programme and SVM Coordinator, spoke for the delegations and said the visit gave them valuable clarity on MQA requirements, especially for library management and documentation. “This visit really helped us better understand the actual requirements for MQA compliance, particularly in terms of library management and documentation,” she said.

She also hopes that the collaboration with PSAS will continue through future guidance and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

The programme aims to further strengthen strategic ties and open opportunities for collaboration in information management and library development between both institutions.
