SERDANG, 17 March 2025 – A total of 420 new postgraduate students participated in the Information Skills Class held from 17 to 28 March 2025. The program aims to support UPM’s True North initiative, particularly in the areas of academic and research development.

The class covered five modules, namely Advanced Literature Search, Scholarly Publishing Guide, Managing References with Mendeley, Styling and Formatting with Microsoft Word, and Similarity Checker with Turnitin. Each module was specifically designed to help students master information retrieval, article publishing, citation management, thesis formatting, and plagiarism detection.

The learning medium is online, offering flexibility for students to attend classes from anywhere.

Overall, the program had a positive impact, with 96.59% of participants expressing satisfaction with the classes organized by the Library.
