Serdang, 3rd Jan 2022 - The Media, Archives and Preservation Division (BMAP), Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS), UPM has organized an Exhibition of Creative Works of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in the Poetry Category which lasted for one month.
The exhibition was held to support the National Language Decade (2020-2030) which was launched on 12 July 2018 by the former Minister of Education, Yang Berbahagia Dr. Maszlee Malik.
This exhibition is also one of the alternatives for BMAP in highlighting the creative works of UPM residents.
This exhibition displays creative works in the genre of poetry produced by UPM staff, students and alumni.
A total of 32 poems were exhibited from 3 to 31 January 2022 in Block A, PSAS.
A collection of PSAS’s books related to poetry is also on display and can be borrowed directly by interested users.
The exhibition was prepared by a Bachelor of Malay Literature student from the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK), UPM, namely Nurraihan binti Abdul Azit (197818) as one of the industrial training assignments at BMAP, PSAS.
Assignments are supervised by the BMAP Head and BMAP Industrial Training Coordinator, as well as assisted by several BMAP staff members.
Indeed, UPM has produced great and knowledgeable poets so that they are known at the university, national and international levels.
Hopefully this exhibition can provide information and exposure on UPM's creative works (poems) to the visitors of the exhibition.
