UPM IR - Increases Visibility of UPM Publications

The   Universiti   Putra   Malaysia   Institutional   Repository   (UPM   IR)   commenced   operation   in   2008.   The   repository   is   established   to   collect, preserve and   disseminate scientific research and   information. The  documents  deposited  and  indexed  in  UPM  IR  consists  of  journal  articles, books, book chapters, newspaper cuttings, conference papers, theses and  project reports (Masters and PhD), annual reports, patent, inaugural  lectures,  and  UPM  News.    The  collections  include  those  written   by   Universiti   Putra   Malaysia   community   or   collaboratively   produced  with  other  parties.  The  information  and  full-texts  documents  are freely available to be generally shared.

The main objectives of the repository:

  • To promote  and  provide  access  to  UPM  research  and  scholarly  materials
  • To increase citations to research materials produced by UPM
  • To promote research linkages
  • To digitally preserve UPM research and scholarly materials
  • To contribute  to  the  creation  of  network  of  scholars  with  similar  interest as to enable information sharing and exchange
