Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS) has also provided facilities for students with disabilities (OKU). Some of the facilities provided include:
5 special accessible carrel rooms have been provided for the needs of users with disabilities (OKU) on the Ground Floor and Level 2 of the Main Library. Users can inform the duty officers if they require assistance in using the facilities.​
ACCESS TO THE LIBRARY - TRACKS AND RAMPS | ||
There is a pathway for wheelchair users to enter the Main Library. Users can also receive assistance and services from relevant staff to enter the library. | ||
PARKING AREA | ||
The library has provided special vehicle parking for users with disabilities (OKU) to park their vehicles near the entrance of the library. |

DISCUSSION ROOM |

A special dedicated discussion room have been provided for the needs of users with disabilities (OKU) at the Media Unit, Ground Level, Block A Main Library. Users can inform the duty officers if they require assistance in using the facilities. | ||
CARREL ROOM | ||

READING AREA | ||
A dedicated reading space for users with disabilities (OKU) is provided at the Media Unit on the Ground Floor and also on Level 2, the General Reading Area. | ||
BRAILLE MACHINE | ||
A special carrel room housing a Braille Machine is provided for users with disabilities (Visual Impairment). This facility is located at the Media Unit, Ground Level, Block A. |

ACCESSIBLE TOILET FOR OKU | ||
Accessible and user-friendly toilets designed specifically for the disabled (OKU) are provided at the Main Library for the convenience of users with disabilities. | ||
ELEVATOR FACILITIES | ||
The 2 elevator facilities in Block A and Block B of the Main Library are equipped with Braille buttons to provide accessibility for OKU users (physically disabled and visually impaired). | ||
TACTILE PATHWAY | ||
A safe and obstruction-free tactile pathway has been provided to facilitate and assist visually impaired users in walking safely. |
