Organizational Development and Staff Competency Section

Organizational Chart

Section Functions:

  1. Enhancing staff competency and strengthening organisational capacity through the planning, implementation, and monitoring of training programmes at the PTJ and Divisional levels, in alignment with University policies and strategic requirements.
  2. Empowering staff expertise, visibility, and professional recognition by coordinating professional programmes, including conferences, courses, paper presentations, and the implementation of knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  3. Generating revenue and supporting the organisation’s financial sustainability through the systematic and impactful planning and execution of fee-based courses, workshops, and programmes.
  4. Contributing to the financial sustainability of the PTJ through fundraising activities and the efficient, compliant management of the trust account.
  5. Strengthening governance and ensuring standards compliance by coordinating and controlling ISO Management System documentation in a systematic and continuous manner.
  6. Driving organisational performance improvement by coordinating the analysis and reporting of strategic data—including PTJ KPIs, University KPIs, and IRP—to support high-impact, data-driven management decision-making.
  7. Bolstering institutional recognition and enhancing the library’s reputation by coordinating accreditation reports and MyRA assessments for the University, Ministry, and the National Library of Malaysia.
  8. Empowering talent development and expanding professional networks through the coordination of planned and structured student industrial training and staff attachment programmes.
  9. Strengthening organisational branding and visibility through the publication of the “MyLibrary” Bulletin as the official platform for documenting achievements and knowledge sharing.
  10. Improving workflow efficiency and service delivery quality through the implementation and monitoring of KIK programmes, innovation, and Lean management.
  11. Expanding strategic networks and increasing institutional visibility by coordinating visit programmes for agencies within and outside of UPM, as well as departmental visits.
