Serdang, 4 September  - The Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS) has organized a Kursus Penulisan Surat Rasmi to improve the proficiency of Librarians in the field of writing held at Termasa Room, PSAS.

The guest speaker, Munsyi Muda Bahasa Mr. Syed Hisham Shah bin Syed Hilmi from the Jabatan Komunikasi Komuniti, Putrajaya guided PSAS Librarians to always refer to authorized references and circulars to ensure correct grammar in official affairs. Among the essence of the course is the use of appropriate phrases, spelling, euphemism, denotation and connotation of language. The participants were also exposed to various language mistakes that commonly happened in official affairs.

In the afternoon session, participants were tasked to write a formal letter which was then reviewed and discussed. An efficient two-way communication between the speaker and the participants has yielded results when the participants were able to give a summary at the end of the course for the findings throughout the course.
