Fire Drill at the Sultan Abdul Samad Library Building

Serdang, 27 September - This year, the Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS) conducted a fire drill in collaboration with four UPM Responsibility Centers (PTJ): The First Aid Unit (UBM), the Auxiliary Police, the University Health Center, and the Asset Development and Management Office. The emergency scenario selected for the drill was a fire on Level One, Block A. 48 ERT PSAS members served as "first responders" and quickly evacuated the building.

As Incident Commander, Mr. Roslan Ariffin reported that 111 individuals from the building participated in the exercise. Two victims were successfully rescued before the UBM and PKU ambulances arrived.

Overall, all participants, including officers and users, adhered to the instructions of the ERT PSA. The library building was successfully evacuated within the allotted time frame due to proper planning and training.
