Serdang, 17 Sep - Taman Pertanian Universiti (TPU) and Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad (PSAS) are two service entities that have existed since the establishment of UPM. In line with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the 50th Golden Jubilee of the Establishment of UPM (1971 – 2021) this year, TPU and PSAS have collaborated to organize a Webinar Program: Semarak Budi Berilmu Berbakti Forum via online.

This forum has featured four (4) panel members consisting of Associate Professor Dr. Siti Zaharah Hj. Sakimin (Director of TPU, UPM), Encik Muzaffar Shah Kassim (Chief Librarian, UPM), Dato’ Dr. Idris Abdol (Former Director of TPU, UPM) and Encik Amir Hussain Md Ishak (Former Chief Librarian, UPM) to discuss the topic "Facing the Challenges of Library Services and University Agricultural Parks During the Two Decades of Establishment". Meanwhile, Mr. Shuhaimi Ab Rahim, TPU Agriculture Officer acted as Moderator.

In this forum session, various interesting contents on the development of two decades of TPU and PSAS in empowering agriculture in UPM were shared including the efforts of TPU and PSAS in facing current challenges and the direction of agricultural empowerment in line with UPM Strategic Plan 2021-2025.

This forum has succeeded in attracting the interest of 189 participants not only among UPM citizens but also the outside community including UPM alumni themselves.
