Serdang, 22 March - Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad (PSAS) has organized an Open Source Software Application Webinar at PSAS which focuses on the development and use of open source software in PSAS.
The online session was attended by a total of 79 participants consisting of library officers and students who are undergoing industrial training at PSAS. Mr. Muizzudin Kaspol, Head of Information Systems and Technology Division, PSAS as a speaker of this session gave a briefing on open source software used in PSAS for digital material management. PSAS has started developing institutional repositories since 2008 using various platforms including EPrints, DSpace, ResourceSpace, Omeka and Koha. The diversity of these platforms is used in the management of information materials according to the suitability of the material form. Recordings and notes for this session have also been uploaded on Google Drive Kursus@PSAS for the PSAS community to access.
