Seremban, 15 September - The Closing and Prize Giving Ceremony of the “Independence Month and School Resource Center Week” at the Sekolah Dato 'Abdul Razak (SDAR), Seremban, Negeri Sembilan was celebrated with a gift presentation, poetry performance and patriotic song singing.

The ceremony held at Dewan Tun Abdul Razak, SDAR was officiated by the Principal of SDAR, Encik Roslie Ahmad. Also present were members of the SDAR management team and more than 100 students. The ceremony was also graced with the presence of Encik Muzaffar Shah Kassim, Chief Librarian and eight (8) librarians of the Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad (PSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

The Visit of PSAS to SDAR is one of the activities for the community service program between SDAR and PSAS which started in 2019. This year, PSAS Librarians have been entrusted by SDAR as the jury for four Resource Center Week competitions namely Classes Nilam Reading Corner Competition, Information Literacy Quiz, Digital Poster Competition "Read @ SDAR" Campaign: Today A Reader Tomorrow a Leader, and Book Review Competition (video format).

At the program, PSAS Chief Librarian was pleased to contribute the round trophies for the "Classes Nilam Reading Corner Competition" for the Lower and Upper Secondary categories. He was also honored by SDAR to present prizes to the winners of the "School Resource Center Week Competition”.

School Resource Center Week (MPSS) is SDAR’s annual program. Apart from promoting the School Resource Center, MPSS is also expected to attract more students to love the world of reading and nurture the culture of reading through various quality reading materials among SDAR students. Through this program, students are given the opportunity to highlight their talents and soft skills through various activities carried out in a new norm.

PSAS Chief Librarian, Encik Muzaffar Shah Kassim presented the prize to the Classes Nilam Reading Corner Competition winners accompanied by SDAR Principal, Encik Roslie Ahmad.
