Serdang, January 20 - ePJJ Students IM244 Program (Bachelor of Information Science (Honors) Library Management), UiTM Institute of Continuing Education and Professional Studies (iCEPS) in collaboration with Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad (PSAS) organised Read and Relish Talk: Bibliotherapy (Healing of Mind & Soul Through Reading).

The program held online using Zoom application has attracted a total of 156 participants from inside and outside Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The main objective of the program is to provide awareness to the general public regarding bibliotherapy as one of the healing methods using library materials, pictures, song lyrics, poems, movies and so on to help individuals who face psychological, social and emotional issues.

The invited panel consist of Puan Rafidah Abdul Aziz, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Information Management UiTM who is also the President of PERBIMA (Malaysian Bibliotherapy Association) and Mrs. Fazlin Shamsudin, Senior Librarian, PSAS. Meanwhile, Mrs. Nor Awaliss Alia Mohd acted as the moderator. Mrs. Fazlin who represented PSAS shared her experience and among the activities that have been carried out at PSAS.
