Serdang, 6 Sept - The Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS) organized an Independence Talk Program with the theme of the 65th National Day celebration Keluarga Malaysia Teguh Bersama' held in the Termasa Room, PSAS.

The speaker, Puan Siti Fatimah Abdul Ghani, Head of Intervention Services Section, Human Resource Services Division, Registrar's Office, UPM or also known as Puan CTF conducted a 2-hour talk session. Through a two-way communication approach and group collaboration, she has inspired the participants on ways to focus and achieve goals in career and life. Through the session, participants recognized their potential and attributes which will contribute to unity and togetherness as a family at PSAS. A total of 69 participants attended and benefited from this program.

Speakers share interesting motivational talk

The program continued with a speech by the Senior Deputy Chief Librarian (Services) who carried out the duties of the Chief Librarian, Cik Haslina Abu Seman@Talib. Through her speech, she urged participants not to take independence for granted. She suggested that we should defend this independence through science and a high spirit of nationalism to move forward with the country in line with UPM's desire "Sederap Melangkah Menuju Al-Falah".

Furthermore, the ceremony was also enlivened with the presentation of prizes for the EKSA PSAS 2022 Competition. The best zone category was won by the Raja Abdullah Zone, while the Best Information Corner was won by the Raja Lumu Zone. For the Best Go Green Corner was won by Zon Raja Sulaiman. Recognition was also given to the Best Workspace Winner, Encik. Khoirul Asrimin Md. Nor and Best Room Winner, Puan Zuhaini Abdul Samad. The program continued with the prize presentation of PSAS Merdeka Tiktok Competition. Zon Raja Ibrahim and Puan Nuraida Ibrahim are in second and third place while the winner is Zone Raja Muda Musa. The presentation of prizes to the winners was completed by Cik Haslina Abu Seman@Talib and the ceremony ended with a group photo session with the participants.
