SERDANG, JUNE 22: This exhibition is a program by the Pusat Kokurikulum dan Pembangunan Pelajar (PKPP) in collaboration with Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad (PSAS), UPM Alumni Relations Centre (PPA) and Centre for Corporate Strategy and Relations (PSPK).
“Pameran Lukisan Batik Canting 2 Generasi” Program was officiated by the Registrar of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Encik Muhazam Bin Mansor at Anjung Ilmu, Block B PSAS on 9th June 2022.

In his opening speech, Muhazam said, this Batik Canting Exhibition program is able to convey knowledge about batik canting to the community inside and outside UPM as well as to introduce Malaysia’s arts and cultural heritage to the UPM international students.
Speech by UPM batik weaver Encik Mohd Isnain Ali accompanied by Puan Galinda Kamaruzaman and Encik Muhd â€‹â€‹Alif Akram
This exhibition features the artwork of three UPM batik weavers, namely Encik Mohd Isnain Ali, Puan Galinda Kamaruzaman and Encik Muhd â€‹â€‹Alif Akram. Mohd Isnain Ali said, this Batik Canting Painting Exhibition is a continuation of the previous exhibition, namely ‘2 Jiwa 1 Rasa’ Series 1 and 2 which was held at PSAS in 1996.
Among the guests present
A total of 30 batik canting paintings are displayed in the Anjung Ilmu reading room for UPM residents to immerse in, and this exhibition is also open to the public. Apart from being displayed, these batik paintings are also open for sale to anyone who is interested and the proceeds will be channeled to the PPA to provide scholarships for UPM asnaf students.
UPM Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dato 'Dr. Mohd. Roslan Sulaiman who also spent time visiting the exhibition site on 16th June 2022
The public can visit this Batik Canting Painting Exhibition according to PSAS operating hours and it is open to the public until 9th July 2022.
