Serdang, 17 August 2020 - Knowledge Management (KM) has become a solution to improve the performance of an organization. It is a structured activity through the sharing and use of correct information in effort to improve an organization or work process that can be applied not only in the field of librarianship but in various other fields as well.
In line with this, Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad has organized the Corporate Memory and Intellectual Property Forum: The Importance to Organizations through the Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad/ Universiti Putra Malaysia Live Facebook channel on 17 August 2020. This forum was conducted by Mrs. Azana Abdul Hadi as a moderator with two local panelists who are well known in the field of Knowledge Management, namely Dr. Irwan Kamaruddin Abdul Kadir, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Information Management, Universiti Teknologi Mara and Mrs. Sharifah Fahimah Saiyed Yeop, Senior Executive at the Information Resource Center, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
During the sharing session, various topics were discussed among which topics on Knowledge Management including Organizational Culture in Managing Knowledge; The Importance of Corporate Memory; and Best Practices in Managing Knowledge in an Organizations. This session has attracted about 80 participants from inside and outside UPM. It is hoped that the Corporate Memory and Intellectual Property Forum : Importance to Organization has benefited all participants who participated.
